Netherland based CG Artist Sam Habbaba "Scandinavian Style Interior" project was a part of two other interiors, they were asked to create 3 different styles of interiors, this interior they decided to make it a Scandinavian design. Scandinavian design is a term to represent a design movement characterized by simplicity, minimalism and functionality that emerged in the 1950s in the five Nordic countries of Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland and Finland.

Before starting an interior project I always like to research, looking through interior photos similar to what I want to create either using magazines or Pinterest to collect a general idea.

I was inspired by the Scandinavian design language! The colors,patterns, material use etc.. Meanwhile, the concept for this project - maybe a bit over used term but I aim for Realism I always try to create my visuals using a photographic approach and pay attention to the creation of models, materials, lighting and composition. Every new project I begin I challenge my self to make it better than the previous one.

I really look up to people like Bertrand Benoit, Peter Guthrie Alex Roman and all the great 3D artist out there :) The advice I can give is to look at photographs for practicing your compositing skills and look at the world around you and try to think how you can translate what you see in CG, this is probably the best ways to improve your artistic skills in visualization every detail you put in your work people will notice!

Sam Habbaba since his childhood have always been drawing, at the age of 5 he won a drawing contest in Edinburgh.
