Just add ideas aims to highlight the immense power that Adobe allows the creative to posses. The amount of tools available on Creative cloud covers all a creatives needs, hence all you will need is the ideas.

The idea was to visualize the process of of creation using my four favourite CC programs, namely Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign & After Effects. So this looks like a creation factory, with my ideas going through the creative cloud suite & finally ending up on my Behance portfolio page. This followed the series of individual logos of each of the programs. A colleague from work suggested I create a project that would showcase all of them, so a Creative Cloud machine/factory seemed like a great way to do this.

The process beings on paper, I sketch out what I can to get the structure of the piece. I then head to Illustrator & create all the individual mechanical components, from the little gears to the pipes, building the layout for 3D import. These plans then get imported into a 3D program like 3D max and whatever can be used from the layout is used, the gears are extruded, the lines are modeled into pipes etc. After the small components are built up, I start importing the individual logos like the Adobe logo, the creative cloud logo; which have been built in a similar way. Once these are in the scene the project starts to take shape. I know which elements are necessary, like more pipes, some more gears & linkages etc. After the final model is built up, I start the lighting & rendering process which is my favourite part. After lighting the scene & doing a few renders I see what I can add to my renders in post. Some tweaks are done in Photoshop & cropped into Behance ready jpegs for upload.

Tools used:
Pencil & paper, Adobe Illustrator, Autodesk 3D max & Adobe Photoshop.

I am heavily into steampunk, most of my recent works are inspired by this. I am almost always on forums like 'http://forwhomthegearturns.com/' where I can see other people who share my obsession with this genre. So it makes sense that this aesthetic has a major influence in my current style. Just Add Ideas is special tome because it displays steampunk in a fresh way.

The project was quite challenging as it is quite heavy on my workstation. The project has about 8 million polygons in total, so working on it was taxing on my system. Apart from that & choosing which colors to use for the full machine then everything was smooth sailing. The only revisions were really small, like title changes & colors etc, so there was really not a lot.
