500px Redesign Concept by Julien Fischer
Julien Fischer, a photographer and UI/UX designer has been using 500px for quite some time. 500px is a social media platform for photographers/aspiring photographers to showcase their greatest works. As a UI/UX designer, it came naturally to Julien to come up with the idea of redesigning the website. Now, let's see Julien's redesign concept.
As a designer ui / ux & photographer, here's my vision of the site 500px.com. In this experimental concept, what I wanted to highlight: - avoid empty spaces using the full screen (Based on a grid, this design will fit easily on any device) - remain in dark interface to better highlight the photography - interaction users & community between: pulses / like / rating / share.

I launched this concept to allow my creativity to show something that I do not necessarily have the opportunity to showcase with my usual clients. Also, to be recognized as a designer, and why not try an experience abroad (I am open to offers that are available to me (in agency, studio, Collaboration, partnership: [email protected])

I like design gallery project, for a fashion model. I’m a photographer and I upload photo on Facebook, 500px and I wanted to review the design as I'd like it to be. My inspiration came from Dribble, Behance, awards with good background music (Ry x, Ben Howard, ) :D

My first inspiration in ui/ux design is George Kvasnikov with his redesign of Wikipedia. I am fascinated by his work ergonomics and design : George Kvasnikov. Lorenzo Bocchi is also one of my design inspiration in terms of models with these cool and precise design.
Continue making/practising things that you are passionate about, otherwise you will not be able to come up with a beautiful design. Work on your unique style - something that identifies you among other designers. And be very keen to details, even up to the pixel!
