Afropunk is a music festival held annually in Brooklyn, New York. It is a safe place, a blank canvas to do actually do whatever you want, and people you this opportunity to construct a new reality and live the life as they see fit their style.

Went to the Festival and saw a lot of beautiful people around enjoying the music the art, so I decided to take photos of those moments. and when it got to the editing stage I used a warm colored filter to match the mood.

With the softwares, I mostly use Photoshop and Lightroom. First i shoot all my photos in Raw format since it contains minimally processed data from the image sensor and i can get to manipulate the colors in Lightroom or CameraRaw. Then i import the files to Lightroom for color correction and lastly i bring them to photoshop for retouching.

I got really great feed back from this project and it inspired me as an artist to create more. I also build a lot of connections through this project and learned more about my camera as i do each time I pick it up.
