This space was initially built for residential purposes as a small studio apartment, but we managed to transform it into a beauty salon at the client's request. Located in the Prima Premium Residence in Oradea, Romania, the studio apartment is not very typical for the Romanian real estate portfolio. It has an interior stair and a mezzanine, which allowed us to separate the hair salon, the pedicure zone and the cosmetic service areas.

The client desired to transform the small space into a beauty salon, comprising a waiting area, a hair salon with 2 working spots, cosmetics & pedicure services as well as a manicure area. Given that the main clientele would be women, plus considering the "premium" location in the city center in a new building, we chose to create an elegant and feminine space, calm and sobre but welcoming at the same time, which reflects in the colors and textures used.

The space is bathed in natural light so we had the liberty to play with darker textures for contrast. We added warmth by using plenty of wooden finishes and colorful accents with the sofa and various other accessories here and there.

We used 3dsMax and V-Ray to create the renders for the initial proposal as well as Corel Draw & SketchUp for floor plans and furniture details. The finished project was photographed by our colleague Andreea Iancu using a Nikon D7000 and Sigma 10-20mm + Nikon 50mm lenses. Final tweaks (lens correction, minor brightness & contrast adjustments) were done in Adobe Lightroom.

This was a challenging project due to the very small space and the many services that needed to be included. We consider we managed to fit everything well into its own place and it all came out nicely together. We're proud to say that the project was well received by the client as well as the public.
