As part of a classroom project, we had to choose a product and transition the form. The product I chose was a faucet. The brief was to design a faucet, by transitioning the form, without impacting the functional aspects of it. Agua is a form inspired by stealth facets.

Getting inspired by the modern feel of the stealth bridges and architecture, I thought of giving a faucet a similar feel. Faucets, typically have a certain flow to it. I wanted to create something which was unique. The color, material and the finish of the faucet was judged on the basis of the cuts of the form.

I started by sketching out the transition of geometric forms. After selecting a few, I made them as 3D models in a CAD software and changed a few details to what looked better in three dimension.
Finalizing a form, I used a CNC machine to Make the prototype with MDF.

I learnt how to really play with the aesthetics of a form, while making it looked balanced. The learning in this project was mainly about the visual hierarchy of products. The form semantics was taken into consideration to make the complete product
