Zooscope was commissioned to create the Identity & packaging design for Aromayur, a new line of all-natural products by Hem Corporation; India's leading perfumed incense company.
The single stroke logo evokes wafting fragrance and resembles a seal to give the identity a luxe feel. The packaging illustrations use an underlying grid that adapts to different variants giving the company flexibility to launch fragrances. Custom artworks were made using scent ingredients to create a premium, natural and vibrant identity.

The identity uses a familiar aesthetic in combination with new elements so as to achieve a memorable result. The stripped down look lends itself well to the all-natural product. With a minimal identity in place, emphasis is laid on fragrance and its components. Colour aids instant recognition, so that the palette alone can become a marker for a fragrance.

As is with all our projects, we started with quick sketches on paper. Using them in mockups helped us test out colour and layout choices to compare them for effectiveness. After many stages of refinement and iterations, we arrived at a language that we were happy with.

Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Maxon Cinema 4D were the tools used to make the final artworks.

A global aesthetic keeps up with export demands. The retail box doubles up as a display unit, a cost effective means to build identity. Bold usage of colour gives the product a shelf presence to stand out in a saturated market. The subtle deboss adds to the tactile feel of the packaging making it a delight to interact with it.
