Kiev based architect Aleksandr Kalinov project “Art Deco” is an apartment for the poshest and chicest person in the world. The apartment is composed of elegant and very modern visuals. I don’t know about you but this is definitely a dream home for a lot of people!
I can work in different styles and my tastes were changing for a time. Now I prefer eclectic interiors where classical and modern things are mixed.Interiors of Jean-Louis Deniot, George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg etc.
In this project I wanted to create chic art-deco interior using modern furniture with lacquered gloss surfaces , crystal modern lightning and some luxury finishes. Walls in living room and dining room are covered with parchment panels in bed room with suede panels inlaid with buffalo horn. With velvet upholstery, silk curtains and dark wooden parquet it all creates the mood of cozy luxury.
The only advice I can give is not to be afraid to experiment.
