Black Room by Vu Xuan Duc
Vu Xuan Duc's "The Black Room" was renovated from a living room of a penthouse. Its owner wanted to make his living room simple yet impressive and attractive to people. So, Vu Xuan came up with his project a dark and very elegant living room.
My client was business man, so I thought he should have lots of business guests. A classic modern living room that seems to be mysterious and a little formal came across my mind. There will always be an important content in most of his meeting, because of this I chose to highlight the sofa and everything around is just the background. First, I chose bright color for the sofa and chandelier to make the contrast. A little green was "made up' in the sofa to make the room more joyful. But then, I found it may not formal enough. Then, I suggested another option that a sofa and chandelier are covered by white. It seems to meet the demand of my customer (simple but not monotonous).

I used 3dMax and Photoshop to create my artwork, my client was satisfied with my project and as I thought he chose the option 2 (white sofa). Not in this project but in the others, I often survey who my customer is to make the artwork fit their needs and character. After that, I upload my project on Behance and Facebook to get people's response for better completion. Some may say LIKE, some may say NOT, and I cannot satisfy everyone but I record all their comments, especially whose show me what is not suitable in my project

About Vu Xuan Duc
Vu Xuan Duc graduated from Architecture Dept. of National University of Civil Engineering (Vietnam) in 2012. He worked as an architecture and interior designer for some companies from his university time to get actual experiences. He has a deep passion in architecture and interior so he has been developing these 2 kinds of field.
