Our featured artist today aims to convey a message of peace and love to the children living in war zones. A lover of music and art, she hand-painted her Gibson guitar to give tribute to Gibson's 120th Anniversary; guitars were auctioned to support the organization "Peace One Day". Read on and enjoy!

I came up with the idea while reflecting on what was happening in the Middle East during that time. It was the war in Gaza, and my main focus was the children exposed to this crisis, being victims, being used as human shields, being brainwashed and told to go against what they believed.

So I made a playful artwork, composed of doodles, conveying on what the children of war should be doing and thinking, instead of blowing themselves with bombs and bullets, blow some bubbles for them to play with, they don’t need to be stressed out with all these stupid wars, children deserves to have playful memories and not their childhood being stolen away from them.

The project was for Gibson, to commemorate their 120th anniversary and also in support for the organization “Peace One Day”, all the guitars were auctioned and some are still available for purchase, and the amount will go to Peace One Day’s cause. It took me a week to complete everything, from base painting, to polishing it to finish.

For the base painting on the Gibson SG guitar, I used Primer white paint, then smoothen it up with the sandpaper, before using a Posca ultra fine paint pen to create the doodles, then after the doodles were done, I polished everything up with a fixative and a car polishing materials to get the look of a brand new guitar.
