Broodje van Eigen Deeg, a project by Jeroen, is a French bakery located in the Netherlands. With a unique concept in making their own bread dough, they are specialized in French bread, pastry and confectionery. They bake bread made of their own dough. In addition, they select pure ingredients, without additives. Preparing dough with respect for the ancient craft and long rising processes using sourdough. Their bread is inspired by the French tradition. This bread has many types, but have one thing in common; it is always freshly baked. They bake - like the French - throughout the day. So it never takes long before freshly baked, warm and crackling bread comes out of their oven! Let's check out this amazing art set!

My task was to create a full (corporate) branding for Broodje van Eigen Deeg. Including a full communication and marketing strategy with all needed visuals and other needed designs for their business. I’ve been working on the following elements for their branding completion:

1. Corporate Identity & Branding tasks: Compile and finalize the key corporate messages and the overall communication + marketing strategies.

I took inspiration from the old hand-crafted bread makers. In the concepts I've also included the French element and used the capital B in different approaches. Elements like wheat, bread, craftwork and France are all used for the all the concepts during this project.

The final logo mark was also my first logo concept. A capital B with a bread (loaf) in the middle of it. I used the negative space of the shape to create this smart and beautiful mark. After the mark was set, I've added a suited typography and the colors where based on the color of baked bread, next with a clean but suiting typography in all black. The client was really happy with this overall visual feeling it was giving. Also the message was really clear and obvious for the audience to understand as a bakery with hand crafted breads.
