Chrono Sales is a brand that manufactures and sells watches, the customer had no idea about how they wanted the logo, they just wanted a logo to represent their company the best way possible and what is "time". So, graphic designer Ricardo Leon relied on this concept, which is time is infinite. Seconds, minutes and hours, are repetitive, endless.

I then design a font that reflects all of this... is not enough to make a script letter, but to design a strong, bold, sans serif font-face that repeat itself, which has continuity, fluency. About Tag line "Sales", it just fell like a glove, as if to represent a digital clock.

I consider myself a retail and modern graphic designer, also like the minimalist and hand/drawn letters . I also like to present my logos with vibrant and accurate colors but also as clean and simple as possible, as always , all set to customer requirements. I think the graphic designer can never do a project at will, and this part is where I find the real challenge that every design carries your personal signature and your own style despite "the crazy ideas of your customer".

As advice I could say that never stop studying, never stop looking all around you, like nature, everyday objects are art, are design, are graphics. Always look at the work of other artists, your mind captures everything your eyes see, and from this, using captured ideas to try to do something new and unique.

Making logos, for me, is the best way to demonstrate the skills of a graphic designer, because you have to take into account customer requirements (which are sometimes a little crazy) and based on this, try to get a balance between the ideas of your client and your design style.

About Ricardo Leon

Ricardo León, a graphic designer from Venezuela. Enjoys designing logos, at this point in his career he can say that designing logo is his specialty, although it's the only thing he loves to do, he also do animation in 2D and 3D. Ricardo studied Graphic Design in Maracaibo (Venezuela) and worked in a marketing agency (Blur Studio) from 2009 until now. He's been plunging into freelance since August 2015, and in these two months he've had a great experiences, he focus on what he consider "his strength" which is to make logos, without forgetting his roots and passion for animation and web design.
