This project is based in Poltava region, Ukraine. This complex consists of main orthodox church, entrance part, bell tower, gazebo and auxiliary building.
The church has cross-shaped configuration. The Church building is divided into three main parts: the narthex (vestibule), the nave and the sanctuary (also called the altar or holy place).

This is a conceptual project that I did during my magistracy. I wanted to create something interesting but still to save all the traditions of orthodox churches. I used pastel color range to emphasize shape. In general, i tried to create calm, spiritual space with lots of natural light.

At first i made some hand sketching of shape and configuration. Than the whole model and every functional part were built in ArchiCAD. I made renderings in Atlantis. Post production was made in Photoshop to make it look more realistic.

This project got positive feedback from people of all ages. It has interesting details but they are not controversial. Also, I was interested in trying to design a building of this type and get out of my comfort zone. So this project brought me more new knowledge and experience.
