Circus is a small personal project created by Denitsa Toshirova, a Bulgarian visual artist from Scotland. This project of hers is trying to explore the idea of the circle as a limit, a border, looking into what is within and what is outside. Let us take a look at her artwork and feel free to tell us what you think. Enjoy!

Using Edinburgh’s famous Christmas Market, Denitsa’s aim was to create a gloomy and magical feeling around a space that is usually full of sound, life and light, and use the circle as a tool to change or add meaning, to deform reality; to create a circus full of darkness and quietness; to let you observe past the obvious.

  1. Hmm, when reading the post, I was thinking something different than what I saw in the photos. On the other hand, I was able to put it all together in the end and it is very creative.
