Clara Ferrer - Brand Identity
Clara Ferrer is a physiotherapist and yoga instructor, based in Mallorca, that helps people to achieve wellness by attending to inner and outer health - taking care of mind, body and soul. She recently opened a space in town where she offers her services of yoga classes and physiotherapy massages.
I had some concepts in mind that I needed to transmit with the design: nature, balance, strength...
First of all I was inspired by organic shapes: leafs, river stones and for sure, the lotus flower that symbolizes the purity, beauty and inner strength. And its also related to wellness and health. Mandalas and geometric structures were important as well, searching for that unity concept, the strength.
Always looking for that balance I used soft green palette. No other color could represent nature better.
And finally, typography, I had it very clear from the start. I wanted a clean, minimalistic, thin and geometric font.
For me all the process begins with the concept. From that point I start making some sketches on paper or directly on computer. The software I like the most to create is Adobe Illustrator, it allows me to do whatever: changing colors, fonts, picking a piece from here and mix it there... I always have a file just for the tests.
Later I like to prepare samples of the work, how the logo will look in real life on the items my client need: business cards, stationery, packaging, signage, etc. And for this I use Adobe Photoshop.
Every project is a new start, with new challenges and new opportunities to learn about a new area. And it is on us, designers, to achieve all that knowledge and transform it to a message, to communicate.
The response to this project its been better than I could imagine, the client was happy to find an image that really defines her business.
