According UIS data over the third of scientists in the world are women. Nina Pavlova drew a bit less, and read about 28 inspirational stories about strong, brave, hardworking and super intelligent women in funny cute pictures. Heroines of illustrations are not only scientific discoverers and researchers, but also engineers, inventors. She organized the successful crowdfunding company for printing card about Women in Science. She also printed stickers and calendars.

How much do we know about female researchers? Actually not so much. So I decided to draw some cards and print them. I chose the collage technique with cartoon style illustrations and photos to show my characters are REAL superheroines!

At first I wrote a long-long list of women scientists. It was really big part of my work! It was very interesting to read those stories. Cool! Then I drew my characters in vector, added some textures and shadows in Photoshop and made the collage with photos from photo stock.

There was a cool man named William Herschel. He was interested in math, when he was learning music theory. Then he became interested in optic and astronomy. At first he wrote some symphonies and later he made the great telescope and discovered Uranus. I mean it's great that the harmony and inspiration is all around us!

During my crowdfunding company people from different countries bought my cards with Women in Science and sent me thanks and respects. Also the organization “World’s Women in Denmark” contacted me. In March I had a personal exhibition in Vologda, Russia.
I hope this series of cards inspired someone for working!
