Concert Hall
The concert hall is located in Lviv, Ukraine. It is a bachelor diploma project by Kyryl Sledz. Concert hall complex consists of two halls: big concert hall has 1500 seats, small concert hall has 250 seats. Project site is located in the city centre of Lviv between two city parks. Project propose to build two bridges, which would connect two parks for pedestrians.
Lviv is a very musical city. There are a lot of theatres, big opera house and a philharmonie, but there is no concert hall. So I decided to create a new and modern concert hall for my native city. The idea was to create a natural extension of landscape, but still highlight the concert hall by white color of the shell.
I used Revit for architectural part. Creating BIM model of such big complex was a hard task. I used Lumion to create renderings and video, then Photoshop for postproduction.
The process of making project was very interesting from the beginning. I had more than 20 different concepts of the concert hall. I know, that there still a lot of work to do with this project, but I am proud of my concert hall.
There were a lot of good responds, because Lviv needs new concert hall and the society want it as well. In process of making project I learn how multifaceted and complex concert halls is. The architect should calculate acoustics and visibility for each seat considering the visual aspect of the interior.
