Conspiracy Theory by Timis Stamatiadis
Timis Stamatiadis' is the result of his personal stance towards conspiracy theories. People, fail to see the logic behind an event and love to assign supernatural or dark qualities to certain people, places or events. One day Timis bought a bag of chattering teeth to play with his cat and was ecstatic at the anthropomorphism of them. They looked like characters in a kind of ecstasy. He was hooked and tried to develop a narrative that was both comic and provoking as well.
The inspiration for the project is the demystification of a myth, the analysis of the theory to its components. The “Conspiracy Theory” is the naked truth. All the stages of the behind the scenes are the project itself. I offer to the viewer the final result in all its glory “light and shiny” but straight forward I offer you the staging of it. Conspiracy theory is naked now, nothing to get excited about, everything was a trick, an illusion.

The most rewarding thing about photography (as I pressure about any other art form) is the ability to deliver a point of you in a visual way. Every photograph for me is a chance to initiate a dialogue and talk to the viewer. All my photographs are constructed narratives that tell the story of things in my own version. As a photographer you create and construct a visual language that never stops evolving but always steals pieces from your inner world and that is to my opinion the most fascinating thing about the medium of photography.

There is no secret in creating an image other than listening to your inner voice. Everyone is creative because humans were born creative but most of them grew up or were educated not to be so. Everything you care, you love or hate can become a picture. But you have to learn your tools and how to use them. Study the light and how light transforms everything. Experiment with light, it is your friend. Learn your camera and what it can do. Educate yourself about the abilities of the equipment you have in your hand. Almost every camera nowadays is good enough to perform almost every task, if you know. If you don’t know please read and you will be rewarded. All the knowledge is out there for everyone.

Please, look at photography but good photography. Spent 30 minutes every day looking at good photography and educate your eye and train your brain. Start shooting and shooting and shooting. Practice makes better. But before you press the shutter LOOK. Look with your eyes and your soul and tell your story. This project was shot in Canon 5D II with a Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 macro lens. The image was manipulated in Photoshop CC. Shot in my home studio with a 2 light set up.
