CONTAIN_R is a desk organizer set where several types of boxes with variety of dimensions provide an opportunity for multiple uses. All elements are designed for specific needs like paper storage, pencils holders etc. yet they still could be utilized in a more universal context. The aim is to contain all the essentials - tools, thoughts, memories.

The set is made of plywood, concrete and aluminum and the main playful element is the elastic tape, which ties all the pieces together when not used. Making room in your workspace has rarely been so easy and simple.

As a maker I often use A4 sheets of paper to draw on or fold. I don't have a good storage place for them, so I came up with the idea of this container-organizer where I could store the paper along with my other tools and stationary. I know that there are other people with similar needs for space and order.

I used AutoCAD for drawings and modelling, 3D Studio Max for visualizations /thanks to Aneta Krushevska for the support/ and Adobe Illustrator/ InDesign for graphics and layout. I also worked with Pancho Kurtev, who made numerous prototypes manually before finding the right parameters for the set's elements.

People really liked the simplicity and the compactness of CONTAIN_R. The industrial feel of the set is also intriguing to them. I learned that a spark and a friend are all it takes to make a project real.
