This projects was actually done by Jelena Vasiljević for a cookware design contest. Even though she didn't win the prize, she is still very pleased with the final design nonetheless. She hopes that she'll see them printed on some fine cookware in the future. Read on and enjoy!
I worked fast and concentrated, that's one of the reasons why the result preserved freshness of a first sketch. Main goal was to do something daring with shapes and colour. It was a fun challenge between commission work. I used pen and paper for sketching, final design was executed digitally in Adobe Photoshop.

I was inspired by playfulness of organic forms. I always preferred exaggerated and bold design choices. I started pretty late- even though contest was open for a couple of months, I found out about it just few days before the end. Tight deadline is usually the best motivator. There was no need or time for revisions. I was pretty pleased with the result right away.
