Daglezja Hotel
Daglezja Hotel is designed by PWA Architects, an architectural office from Warsaw. The hotel is located in Krynica Zdrój, small and beautiful health resort, in the south of Poland (by Krzyżowa Mount). Lots of natural wealth of this place. It is a four star hotel with rest zone. Frequently occurring mineral springs with healing and refreshing effect are the natural resource of the region, also known beyond the Polish borders. The aim of visualisations was to show the client the concept of the hotel made by PWA Architects
Beuty of Krynica Zdrój is not only its natural wealth but also the atmosphere that is created by the 19th Century wooden architecture. Idea is very simple - localization. It's almost in the mountains. I wanted to connote the atmosphere of a mountain trip, backpacking and leisure (or relaxation). Natural materials like wood or stone were an obvious choice to easily write the building in the surroundings.
Building was made in SketchUp and modified in 3d Studio Max. Edges were chamfered and the building got much more detail and noticeable softness and lightness. The environment was completly modeled in 3d Studio Max using ready models from Evermotion. Scenes were rendered in Vray 3.3; curves and colour balance were improved in postproduction. Very useful was Debris Maker plugin to generate stones, that saturated the image with fine detail. One of the most important thing that creates the climat to all of the pictures are HDRi maps. The response to the project was surprisingly big. It got a lot of very good reviews. It was appriciated by CGVertex and posted on their page. I was asked few times to do a making of. In my free time, I'll take steps do it. All this feedback is valuable, but the most important, in my opinion, is that the client was pleased with the effect of our cooperation.
