Deaf Alarm by Eoin Mcgrath
A Deaf Alarm is targeted at people who are hard of hearing or completely deaf. Deaf alarms use alternative methods of alert to warn users something is wrong. Read on and enjoy!
Some of these methods include:
Vibration
Strobe Lighting
Low Frequency Sounds- Eoin Mcgrath
The inspiration for the Aesthetics was an organic twist on current Ei Products allowing it to maintain a family product appearance. The biggest challenge faced when designing the Deaf Alarm was the user interface. To communicate the warning of Fire, Carbon Monoxide, Low Battery and Radio Link is a simple yet effective way. In a fire situation the user should be able to distinguish what the problem is instantly, as time is of the essence.
