Dental Demolition are weird character design graffiti. The following pieces was developed within the last year. They are mostly free work and not painted on behalf of any client. Tom travels a lot, saw amazing places and did a plenty of walls.

The various ideas and subjects emerged most differently. Some of the subjects I developed on paper, out of several shapes and sweeps. Regarding other subjects I first had an idea, a message I then brought into shape.

There is no clearly assignable inspiration behind these works. They are more results of a long term processing of information. Everything I perceive with my sensory organs eventually influences my behavior and therefore my art.

I would describe my style as a strong emotional distortion of reality. The way of painting as well as the use of light and shades are rather guided by realism. By contrast, the use of forms approaches surrealism and cubism.

Never make a compromise. Whenever something feels not good, it is not good. However, don't go too stubbornly to work and always enjoy life.

About Tom HRVB

Tom HRVB grew up in one of these nice estates of prefabricated houses in East Berlin. There was a lot of colorless concrete in the beginning of the 90s. Of course, the youth realized very fast that one could perfectly paint graffiti on it. And this finally aroused his interest in 1995. Over time, of first awry letters had become serious paintings. Later on, he focused more on characters and therefore the letters in his pieces disappeared gradually. Now, he totally direct his attention to the composition of characters, well subtle shapes and sweeps that amount to a big picture. Next to spraying walls, at any time he also started doing illustrations. While beginning with black/white party flyers and t-shirt designs for friends, it has developed to a full time job over time. Thus, since 2009 he has been working full time as a freelance illustrator and graffiti artist. See more of his works on Behance.
