Detox smoothies are a tasty way to detox, and one of the finest detox drinks to add to your daily routine. To detox the body, you need to feed it with foods that help it purge itself and at the same time provide it with the vitamins and minerals it needs to function at its best. This project of Detox Smoothies was a personal project. About a year ago when I was starting to hear about cleanses and detoxes, I went online to find a 3-day detox to see what it was all about. I bought all the ingredients and prepared to do a reset on my body. Food photography can sometimes get really expensive buying all the ingredients and a lot of times it goes to waste from being on set and handled by food stylists. I wanted to take advantage of the all the ingredients I purchased for the detox. I knew going into the shoot that I wanted to incorporate graphic design so with that in mind, I started laying out the ingredients for each smoothie leaving room for copy. To some people it may look like ingredients on a white background, but each ingredient is placed with intent and purpose. It's about creating movement and balance within the frame.
