Doingnothing
I called this project Doingnothing as I started it just for fun, to feel the freedom to do whatever I want without any briefs and deadlines. I made all the illustrations while idle mornings before my job. Usually listening to some music.
All my commissioned projects implied using my computer. So I decided to choose a style that is a complete opposite to the digital art. The paper and scissors seemed to be the prefect medium. Also because I could improvise. I never knew what I would get and this was the most exciting about the process.
I used gouache and ink to color the white paper in different way. Then I cut random and not that random shapes and put them together trying to find what did it look like. When the composition was done, I glued all together.
Every time I made new collage I posted the finished image to my instagram and the feedback was usually pretty heartwarming. I gave almost all collages to friends. And one of them was used as an invitation to my dad's birthday party.
