Senior Graphic Designer Travis Pietsch created this project by first sketching out each design, then inking them with Micron markers in various sizes. After that, he scanned them into Photoshop at 1,600 dpi to ensure that all the details are captured. Next, he brought the scanned page into Illustrator where he used the Image tracing tool to turn the jpg into vector graphics.

I usually have a theme or subject which I base my projects on, but for this one I just wanted to relax and draw whatever came to mind. The inspiration behind this project was mostly retro subject matter. I also experimented with a playful color scheme.

I would describe my style as woodcut emulated with pen and ink techniques. I get alot of inspiration from old woodcut art. Some artist that inspire me are Pedro Oyarbide, Stèphane Casier, and Nathan Yoder.

My advice to fellow artists would be to practice everyday and work hard. Also, stay humble!
