Todd Kitzsteiner's project is a practical exhibition space needs to both draw attention and give the individual a sense of the brand and product(s) being featured. The task with this project was to design for a popular tech or social media company keeping in mind that the product exists only in cyberspace.

I wanted the space to both relate to the Twitter brand which features the iconic flying bird logo with minimalist qualities and also keep the user engaged with the space. I solved this challenge by offering curved partition walls that would display Tweets from around the world in real-time. The exhibit also is only partially enclosed overhead and allows plenty of light to travel through.

I was inspired by environments such as the Apple store that allow light and minimal distractions to focus the customer on the product only. My design style can be described as minimalist. I try to offer solutions to the client that are easy to digest, understand and involve the fewest “bells and whistles” possible. My best advice to another designer is to listen twice and “cut once”. Sometimes the best solution is right in front of you and you need to let the client lead you toward it.
