Michael Färber latest work - Farewell, is about a woman in a moment of grief and deep emotions. As Michael began to shoot his model lay down, he then placed the flowers he bought at a gardener`s store around her hat. It reminded him of a funeral in nature, thus the name of the series - "Farewell".

If you look through my portfolio, you can see my deep connection to nature, as I mainly do shoot portraits outdoor and love natural backgrounds. The model on this picture is the beautiful german alternative model Magda Makaber, with who I have worked a few times before. I love the emotions she is able to show, which I thought would suit best to the theme of the shooting. In the series Farewell, I wanted to show a woman in a moment of grief and deep emotions. As we began to shoot and she lay down, I placed the flowers I bought at a gardener`s store around her hat. It sort of reminded me of a funeral in nature, therefore I chose the name "Farewell".

YOU CRY A TEAR TO START A RIVER

I am often around Behance, Flickr, Facebook and other photography related platforms to look for inspiration. But in order to be creative and find your own style, I think it is important to just shoot and publish whatever feels right for you and not based on what works best for others. If you just look all day through thousands of incredible photographers you might miss on improving yourself and creating your own pieces of art.

SOMEONE ELSE`S DREAM

Find your own way. Get inspired, but never copy. Work as much and hard on your style to be someone else´s inspritation one day. And the main thing: love what you do and what you show to the world!
