3D Artist and Art Director Yonito Tanu shows us his inner child with his project - Free Monsters. His jelly like and abstract creatures 'free monsters' aims to make us feel like a kid again - free from all the stress and just having fun. Let's take a look at his project and reminisce our childhood.

This project came up from the imagination. I always like to show a part of me in my creations, that’s why we call it “personal work”, right? It all started with wild animals. I imagined an abstract shape in an animal structure. First I made a sketch for the animal and I combined it with the simple abstract shape. Due to the topic, I found it interesting to give it a childish feeling. That’s why I used gummy and jelly texture.

Then, it was the story time. I like to tell a story behind the art. So I talked with Jessica Chapiness, the storyteller I used to work with. She writes some lines that take you back to your childhood and truly express the feeling behind the abstract animals. The story is about releasing the monster that lived under our bed ever since you are a child and bring that monster somewhere else.

My advice to aspiring artists is to don't stop creating and always make something new for the world to see. This way, you'll improve your craft and at the same time, show the world your talent.
