Gavth is a design and software studio. Gavth defines itself as a structure which descends to the depths of both technology and design and this gives the name of the company. Blue and grey color tones were used for the logo that I created for the company identity. Since, I strongly think that these color tones reminds the technological side of the company in addition to the sense of depth which is the meaning of company name, Gavth.

The first stage of creating the logo just after I received the job was focusing on the name of the studio and this gave me the idea of how this logo should be. In my design, I used topography that I like the most for my work and also which I believe would give the depth of sense in the most impressive way. I definitely put great attention at every stages of the work on the lines and the colour tones which brought the link between the studio and the technology, and the strong meaning of the name of the company to the logo. The reason is that these were the key elements to give a life and impressiveness to the logo. Considering the people who will see this logo, I think it has a structure that will evoke strong emotions and this was my primary goal from the the beginning till the end of the design.

During my design, I followed my general way and style which is starting draft drawings on my sketch notebook as a first stage and tried to reflect the things in my mind about the logo. After that, I created the second draft in the illustrator; and eventually finalized the work with coloring and dimensioning.

My friends found it very interesting. They said it is compatible with the very well-known saying less is more, but is also in different way. What they think the most interesting part of this design is that it is simple yet at the same time it breaks the rules of conventional design. My friends love this design! I also get quite positive comments from people from the portfolio websites I upload my works. I am happy that people think it is a good work besides being unusual.
