I Draw Her by Jordi Villaverde
"I draw her" is a project Barcelona based illustrator Jordi Villaverde started in 2014, a project about women. He wrote in his tumblr: "Women. My unfinished business. Literally and figuratively. In my drawings and in real life. So many challenges and headaches…". So he decided to only draw women because, even though it wasn't his strong suit, he really enjoy it, so he thought that this project could help him improve his skills.
In this project I tried to play with different styles. All I wanted was to do something new, to improvise, to come out of my comfort zone. That was one of the main reasons that lead me to start this project, and that's what you see on these drawings.

As I said before: women. I had no doubt that a project with them as protagonists was the best thing I could do to show them how much they inspire me and had inspired so many other artists in history.

My style is cartoon, but in this project I decided to try something different in some of the drawings. I have so many inspirations that I can't name them all, and I think you can see that in the project. Sometimes I just choose a photo from pinterest, tumblr, or flickr and draw it. I draw from my imagination. If I had to say a name, it would be Conrad Roset. He draw the most beautiful women I've seen in my life. I was inspired by his work, but not in the style, more in the theme of his work.

I really don't think of me as someone to give advice to others, but if I must, from my experience all you have to do is work as hard as you can, and never, never, never give up!
