Piotr Marchela's project will make you want to explore Poland. Poland’s roots go back to the turn of the first millennium, leaving a thousand years of twists and turns and kings and castles to explore. Away from the big cities, much of Poland feels remote and unspoiled. While large swathes of the country are flat, the southern border is lined with a chain of low-lying but lovely mountains that invite days, if not weeks, of splendid solitude.

This icon pack is my personal project. I really enjoy travel, but I can't forget about my homeland. Poland is a country full of cities and towns: sometimes really old, sometimes totally modern; with cultural, industrial or historical heritage. That variety was a big inspiration for me and I wanted to show those every places in uniform style, because it's characteristic for icon collections.

I like pure style with geometric shapes and limited colour scheme. I think, simple figures of the icons are more legible and this is an important feature I wanted to achieve in the project. I have any special advice for aspiring artist – just make what you love and develop your own style :)
