"Jammin" is one of Illustrator Allegra Parlavecchio's dearest work. It was her very first illustration, after numerous attempts, in which she finally recognized her own creative vision. Now let's see what's this jam is all about!

Couple months ago, I was strolling around the kitchen, spilling tea everywhere like ordinary, and sadly realized I ran out of my favourite jam. And simple as a run-of-the-mill gesture can be, it was it.

Like the loveliest of clichés, I'm an italian who spends a good amount of time in the kitchen. And it's from there that I mostly draw my inspirations and ideas from. Everyday small things or habits are what motivate my works the most.

I think most of my works take inspiration from Pop Art culture. Even back in highschool, I've always found myself connecting a lot with Keith Haring’s work; because of my passion for colors, I saw in Haring a steady foundation with his simple use of primary palettes. I don't see my style belonging to a specific category, probably because, as a young mind, I'm still exploring.

Being a fan of colors and details, as I am, it can be tricky and bring you to overdo it; that's why sometimes I tent to reset and try to start over with simplicity. I think it's a nice way to refresh your vision and give you some new hints and perceptions about your work.
