We were on a day trip passing the beautiful mountains and valleys of Switzerland, when we coincidentally drove by this idyllic little place of Ralf + Vivian König. They were about to build a small bed & breakfast, selling their own mustard in their farm shop, cooking on the weekends and in big need of a corporate and website that would enable them to inform and offer their services online. Königsblut has been their chose name ever since Ralf has an endlessly exciting pool of stories to tell. To us it was important to build a clean frame, they can move in freely. We realized the website, business cards, flyers, product labels and photos. Check out the website 'koenigsblut.ch'.
We wanted to build a bridge between his shimmering personality and the swiss tidiness, that surrounds him. So we decided to keep his new corporate design as puristic as possible, but added very fine and edgy details to the typography.
At first we started illustrating and printing out stuff, but discarded the whole idea directly and went over creating in InDesign. We spent a lot of time at his farmyard, taking pictures and stayed for dinner and drinks — so we got a pretty good picture of who they are and what they do.
We got great feedback, respectively he did. His clients were insanely happy about his new corporate and keep him busy now by booking him. He totally relied on our opinion, which wasn't like that all the time, but in the end we think he is very proud now. So are we.
