La Petite Escapade is, to me, a brief study on calm, peace and isolation. For many, a bath is a time to shed the weight of the world. Going throughout our days, we often pick up worries and concerns and being able to cleanse ourselves of these burdens in our own time and in our own space can be a very holistic endeavor.

I knew that ArchViz was a discipline I wanted to explore, so on that particular day, I sat down and searched for inspiration. I had just begun my 3d modeling journey not too long before, so this was as much an exercise in using the tools available to me as it was exploring a new medium of expression. The style of the bathing area was an amalgamation of the different references I found during my discovery, and the materials and color palette came to me as I explored. The dark wood evoked a sense of calm and grounding, while the large window signified vulnerability. The stone floors and the marble slabs under the tub, towels and on the counter signify a sense of subtle strength.

I used the surprisingly versatile Adobe Dimension for the modeling of the room. I used various free 3D assets from the great and wonderful CGTrader to decorate the interior. I used a selection of Adobe and Substance materials.

The project seems to have been well received. I learned quite a bit about the techniques involved and the time it takes to spend on a ArchViz project. I also learned that this particular discipline vibes well with me and I look forward to exploring more.
