This is a photographic series about a young Mexican discovering the city of La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina, also known as "the city of the diagonals", my home during the last five months where I carried out an academic exchange.

I wanted to create a kind of photographic diary while I was living there so almost everyday I went out with my camera in hand, this project is the result, historic buildings, street shows, turistic places, etc. In the link to the full project you can learn more about the city and the things that I found there.

The camera I used is a very basic one, the Canon EOS Rebel T5 and for the development of the images the Adobe Lightroom software. To be honest when I first started taking this pictures I wasn't sure if I was gonna make a photographic project about it, but when I returned to my country México and revised the photos I thinked it was a good idea putting the photos out there so that people could know better the lovely city of La Plata.

It had a great response from all my friends and acquaintances all around the world who have visited the city of La Plata, many of them mentioned that the project has a nostalgic atmosphere, that is because this city is a city full of inmigrants and young people.

La Plata is what is known as a planned city, that means it was created with a specific purpose and a well-developed urbanistic plan. It is the capital of the Buenos Aires province, a city of inmigrants, the capital of the artesanal beer.
