The valley of the mountains that shout God's praise and in the midst of their majestic creation demand our awe and wonder.

Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland has always been on my bucket-list of places to visit and when I arrived in Italy for my semester of studying abroad I knew Lauterbrunnen was one of the places I must go to. I was in awe of the total encapsulation of beauty and majestic mountains that I got to experience in this valley. These photos are the moments I was able to capture of my trip to Lauterbrunnen. While initially I went for the mountains, it was the people I went with that really made this trip special.

The the valley is inspiring and around every corner was something waiting to be captured in a photograph. The idea for this project was purely out of a desire to be there, see the beauty, and never forget it. I was in the middle of my semester studying in Italy and I was taking a photography class. This class encouraged me to take my camera everywhere I traveled and the photographer inside me screamed and longed for me to take these photos because it was just so beautiful.

For all of these photos I used my first camera, the Nikon D3100 with a 50mm lens 1.8 f stop. This camera and lens is not the most ideal for grand landscape but was able to do the job. After the trip I went through the photos and edited them in Adobe Lightroom. Then, they were published online for the world to see.

The Lauterbrunnen valley is so beautiful, it would be hard for people to have negative feedback about the subject of the project. There were many lessons to be learned throughout this project. One of the more significant lessons would be how to take advantage of your camera and lens despite them not supposedly being the right choice for the setting.
