Philipp was asked to create a packaging for the band Lifelines that is going to release their upcoming self-titled EP. Lifelines is a hardcore/pop band that has taken the Long Island/Atlanta music scene by storm. The band was founded in March 2015 and is composed of Sean Emmets - Vocals, Brandon Elgar - Vocals, Justin Peeling - Guitar and Tyler Clark - Drums.  Let's have a look at Philipp's work.

This project was made as a packaging for the band called "Lifelines" and their upcoming self-titled EP. They just told me "We want something nautical", and since I was in Egypt that time, I think it is strongly reflected on this project. Also, I tried to get out of my comfort zone and I did a lot of experiments with perspective, shadows, light, and these thin & rough lines on this one. I think my style can be described as re-interpretation of the mid-century modern illustration.

I get my inspiration from... the world, I don't know. It's complicated. I try to keep my brain fresh. I read a lot and I'm always trying to find new music. I also like meeting new people, I travel a lot as I said above. Actually, it is really hard to explain how it works, the imagination. But my advice for artists like me is that, we live very limited time on this planet, so just be chill, respect each other and soft light usually works better than an overlay.
