Mappit! by Sebastian Garanton
Mappit! is a social network that lets you take pictures of places that you've visited and place them on a real-time map. You can follow friends to see what places they have visited and what they were doing through pictures. Sebastian Garanton, an interactive designer wanted to create a neat and fun social network. A space to engage with others and have fun, so he had to be very careful with the usability and user experience and try to design in a manner that user could easily understand how it works.
I took inspiration from other apps and projects on Behance. Also there are some infographic elements, and flat illustrations that helped me craft the look&feel that I was looking for in the design. The strength in my design is that I try to blend a style that is sleek and clean with something fun. I try to blend an interface that is easy to use and try to be as transparent as possible with some fun tweaks.

My advice to aspiring artist would be to practice everyday your art. As with everything in life, is all about practice and experience. Be open to feedback, never be satisfied with your work, and always crave for more. You can have all the talent in the world, but if you don't work that talent you will never reach your true potential. Don't falter, and never give up.
