Benoit Drigny's project started as a game with his 2-year-old daughter. His little one was fascinated by animals and he just wanted to make her smile so he started to draw animals just with a few lines to see if she can recognize them. He decided to make a full page of these and then he drew more and more..

I always start with paper sketches, then I retrace it with illustrator. It can be a long process because I’m such a curve maniac… the final result rarely match the sketch. I add texture and color balance with Photoshop.

This particular project in fact comes up pretty naturally, I tried to keep it simple as possible and have fun doing it. I love to create cute images with a touch of black humor, a creepy detail. Banksy (An an English-based graffiti artist, political activist and film director whose real identity is unknown. His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive stenciling technique.), in its work and its reflection have always touched me. I also love the works of Tim Biskup, Charley Harper or Run777 work.

My advice would be to never stop working, make mistakes and learn from it - improve your work, it’s the best way to success. We live in a connected world and great artists are merging from everywhere pushing up the limits of creativity, it is a limitless source of inspiration.
