The main goal which I wanted to achieve was to make a comfortable environment for a young and creative woman. Interior Monochrome includes a lounge, a kitchen and a work space area. One of the general purposes was the location of these functional areas so they could go together and create a specific mood. The interior doesn't have strict divisions of spaces and every zone penetrates smoothly into one another. Natural lighting from windows are combined with white walls are created a feeling of spaciousness.

Monochrome has strict finishing of surface such as white plastered walls, light doors and windows and dark wooden floors. In my view the most shining detail of the interior is a chalkboard in the kitchen area which is an art object, because it is possible to change drawings on its surface from time to time. In other words, the kitchen became a foundation for various ideas. Due to the fact that there are no hanging cabinets over the kitchen worktop, all necessary items are located on the open shelves on the left of the chalkboard and a black cabinet. By the way, a refrigerator is built in this cabinet.

The lounge zone attracts to read over a cup of coffee. I tried to emphasize coziness in this area with the help of different details and accessories. Graphic quality of this part of the interior was underlined by means of geometric chandeliers over the coffee table. The workspace with computer occupies a narrow space in the corner of the room. Despite the fact that it takes up the small area, the workspace is filled with inspiring details, such as various photos, motivational writings on the blackboard and the vintage camera.

A large number of lighting devices helps to develop different scenarios for lighting at night. For example, the cozy warm twilight from the table lamp when a person is working at the computer or directional lighting of the dining area while the person is cooking or bright light throughout the lounge. The contrast combination of black and white colors does not look cold by adding details and furniture from wood, which has a warm tone, in all the parts of the interior. I did this visualization with help of 3ds Max, V-Ray and Photoshop for postproduction.

My inspiration was classic Parisian apartments and interiors with Scandinavian style. I thumb through a great number of photos and articles before coming up with the design of Monochrome.
I believe that I am still searching for my own style so I try different directions at the moment. But I notice that I am crazy about combination of new things with vintage items.

I believe that we should not afraid to implement ideas, because it is one of the most amazing moments when you see how the imagination becomes real. I think that it is important to capture a particular mood in the artworks and try to show it in different ways.
