Italy based freelance illustrator & character designer Reda El Mraki loves to create funny and bizarre cartoon characters, he have always imagined them to interact with objects and people in real life, so he thought it'll be awesome to mix both photography and illustration together to create this interaction between the two mediums.

I'm a huge fan of the cartoon show "The Amazing World of Gumball" which mixes edited real life environments and objects with animated cartoon characters. My art is known as "Doodle Art" wich is a mix of cartoon characters and complex shapes. it's mainly inspired by graffiti art and old (but gold) cartoons from the 40's, like felix the cat, Betty Boop, Popeye, Mickey Mouse and many more.

I'm still a young artist and my experience is little, but the only advice I want to give to aspiring artists is to never give up on what you love! always challenge yourselves and learn new things every day. Hard work pays off!

Before I switched to digital illustration I was drawing traditionally on paper (pencils and black markers), but these materials cost so much money! and you're really limited in terms of corrections on paper, YOU CAN'T Ctr+Z ON PAPER! a problem that you don't find in digital illustration, you have a wide range of tools and you can make as many changes you want. I'm currently using a Wacom Bamboo Tablet and Photoshop/Illustrator for my digital illustrations, regarding traditional illustration I use the Staedtler fineliners to ink my works.
