MyFitness is the biggest gyms and sport centers group in Estonia, and has been promoting well being and healthy lifestyle ever since it’s creation. One of the main focus of Myfitness is to make everything easier for their clients, so they never lack of motivation to go training. When they addressed Mobi Lab studio (http://lab.mobi/) to redesign their mobile strategy, they had a very clear vision of their needs.
Mobi Lab helped them create an app that perfectly fits with today’s lifestyle. By designing a very clean UI users can now easily book a class, contact the instructors and get notifications on the go. Using a native design ensures that everyone is able to handle the app.
In order to create a better UX, booking a class means different states in the app. Clients no longer need to check the availability on the website.
To make things more comfortable, and since there are many MyFitness sport clubs, users can specify which one they want to receive the updates from.
The design process for this project was pretty similar to the one we usually follow. At first, we met with MyFitness to understand their needs and goals for the new app. Then we made a deep analysis at the old application to give input on how it could be improved. We gathered some feedback from real MyFitness users, which is the best valuable information.
After this research and brainstorming sessions, we made prototypes and passed them to MyFitness, to receive feedback. After approval, we continued developing our concept until the final approval. Next steps were testing and going live.
The new application is receiving very positive feedback. Users perceive that the whole process of booking trainings and getting updates is much easier than before, and main advantage is that with the new app now you can do it on the go.
