Nación Fitness by Bestias en la Sopa
Bestias en la Sopa brand identity and character illustration is for a very fun gym - "Nación Fitness"! Thier client wanted a different look for his new gym, a place to go and have fun during workout. He believes that exercise shouldn't be part of the boredom on the everyday routine.
Here in the studio, we love working on illustrated branding and our client gave us complete freedom to explore his subject. Since our task was to reflect how fun exercise is, we thought our characters should be out of this world! Besides, exercise is good for everyone, not only humans. We know almost everyone goes to the gym after work and some days can be very stressful and hard, and the least you want to do is to go to a boring black box shaped gym to lift some weights so we created this bright and colorful brand to break this standard gym look and feel.

We used regular sketchbooks to create our main characters, each member of the team works on a different illustration line and once we all feel comfortable with an option, we work together on it to improve it. After we have all of our characters on basic lines, we digitalize them using Adobe Illustrator. We usually start working on black and white until we're almost done, we decide our color palette.

They were a bit concerned about the crazy idea but got really excited once they saw the final stuff. The gym is officially opening very soon, their first costumers were very pleased and comfortable with the bran, during our first meetings and are looking forward to see the general merchandize.
