ONE Westminster Map is a folded map + guide project commissioned by an international advocacy organization ONE.org who fights poverty and diseases in third-world countries, particularly in Africa. The City of Westminster is an Inner London borough which occupies much of the central area of Greater London including most of the West End. One.org wants to step up the fight against AIDS, TB and Malaria and achieve a sustainable development. Let's check out this artwork for a cause.

I've been honored by Herb Lester Associates to design a folded map about the neighborhood of Westminster for ONE.org, an international advocacy organization which fight extreme poverty and prevent disease, particularly in Africa.

This map was delivered in Westminster in occasion of the last election of the new UK's parliament. Thanks to CaroselloLab for the photos.

It took me less or more a couple of weeks to design the whole thing. Usually I work along with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, but first of all I always start from hand-drawn sketches.

Just two advice: Work hard and try to have a "network" of colleagues to ask advice about everything, from how much to charge for your last commission to "which one of this two illustration is more similar to a peacock?". Time by time I figured out that the most of the designers are very kind people, and they like to give you a hand when they can.
