Roy Lichtenstein and his lovely style inspirated me to do these illustrations of the Shelby Brothers of Peaky Blinders BBC Serie.

He was an American pop artist. During the 1960s, along with Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, and James Rosenquist among others, he became a leading figure in the new art movement.

His work defined the premise of pop art through parody. Inspired by the comic strip, Lichtenstein produced precise compositions that documented while they parodied, often in a tongue-in-cheek manner. His work was influenced by popular advertising and the comic book style.

I try to put his style in my illustrations.

Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop. The technique is retroscopy.

I really love this artist and his style so the objetive was to do the illlustrations as more realistic i can so it can be like a comic draw.

To finsh the project i used a mockup to imagine what will be to have one of the illustrations in my room. Very succesfull the image indeed!

People like it more than i think. I think that a lot of people really love Roy Litchtenstein artwork.

I learn to introduce my own style in other so much more mature than mine.

I hope that my work can always serve as an example and inspiration for those who see it, so thank you!
