Penny Chair
"Penny Chair" design furniture. It is a conceptual design chair made of natural fabric, a structure made of copper and stainless steel, designed mainly for its use as an interior/indoor chair.

"A penny for your thougths"
It all started with the idea of doing something with copper. I felt the necessity of creating something with this beautiful material. Most of my designs have the characteristic of having a lot of organic shapes and curves; maybe because they seem to me to be friendlier for their users. It was inspired by the saying "a penny for your thoughts". I liked the idea of using design as a connector, or a medium of an idea and its expression. Also both coin and chair are made of the same material (copper).

It all started with a few quick sketches, I had a notion in my mind of the shape and materials, then I started with the 3d model, personally I think that this is one of the most interesting parts of design process. I feel that in this phase, is where ideas become "alive" and define their own true shape. After some iterations comes the rendering, finally we get what is called "Penny Chair" in just its first design state.
Most people have great interest and positive feedback on Penny Chair. Especially, this project is receiving much attention from industrial designers and interior designers of Mexico and around all the world. I have received some suggestions of playing with more colors and materials, I think this variations can make my project more interesting in the future.
