Jon Ander Pazos is an architect and graphic designer from Barakaldo (Biscay), who after finishing his studies of architecture in San Sebastian moves to Valencia, where he is currently based, to continuing his studies with a Master in Multimedia Design. The identity is configured so that some of the fundamental features of the brand are remarked, such as the synthesis of information without losing the meaning.

The logo was created from the abstraction and synthesis of a self image with the intention to create a more trusting relationship with potential clients. Furthermore, due to the fact that it is created from a personal image, a unique and exclusive symbol is achieved.

I think it's one of the projects that I found more difficult. Sometimes it's much easier to do a project for another person or company that for myself. At first, I started playing with my initials, but I found everything too much simple and a little impersonal. I also tried playing with some figures of objects that make me feel represented, but they didn't convince me. Finally, I decided to take up a self-portrait project that I made sometime ago and after passing through a process of synthesis, abstraction and geometrization come up with the final logo.

I have always felt inspired by the Swiss design and the Bauhaus School and their ease way to express so much with so little. When I was studying architecture I loved the philosophy of "less is more" from Mies Van der Rohe's and the minimalism from his contemporaries. By the way, I also find inspiration in great designers and illustrators such as Saul Bass, Paul Rand and Milton Graser. I also find inspiration in many people more novel are doing great things that they are made known on the Internet.

Jon Ander Pazos is an architect and graphic designer from Barakaldo (Biscay), he's currently based in Valencia.
