This project is about drawing portraits pets. In last few months, I was trying to improve my digital painting skill and find my style in it. When I was thinking to start this work, I discovered painting of realistic pets portraits an interesting subject. First of all, the project was matching my love in animals; secondly, it allowed me to try and improve my real drawing skill digitally.

As a digital illustrator, I love to work with Procreate. This app is simple, intuitive and it is designed for artists. So if you are someone like me who can be totally lost in an advance tools, e.g. Adobe Photoshop, or you prefer a minimal drawing tool, you should use Procreate. Procreate is an iPad app and I’m using it on my iPad Pro 10.5” with an Apple Pencil.
I start with a simple sketch with a pencil tools, in a separate layer, and I gradually add colors, shadows and lightings in different layers. Finally, when I am happy with the drawing, I usually print and frame it on a heavy paper.

Actually, responses to my project was pretty good! When I put this project on my Instagram I get quite a few followers, likes, and comments more than ever! It was then that I decided to print the whole collection and present it in a neighborhood cafe. I even got a few orders which is expanding my cute animals collection.

Please follow me on Instagram, Facebook, and visit my website. I would like to hear what you think about my work and how can I improve it.
