With more than 30 years of practice, Dr. Alfonso Alfaro and his family opened Petful, a veterinary clinic that follows the values of kindness, love, care, and well-being of his patients and her owners.
The goal was to reflect this values and the joy of owning a pet through a brand identity that connects emotionally with the owners. We solved this with a memorable naming and a logotype set it in a geometric sans typography with solid forms and custom details which makes it unique. For the icon, the decision was to make a simple but playful dog that embraces all the concept of a “Petful mascot”.
The color pallet extend the concept of joyfulness with a bright purple and a soft green, making a good contrast to the brand behavior.
The key concept and decisions as style, color and typography came out with the process that we follow with the client, his needs, values etc. For this project, we knew that we need to reflect the doctor’s personality, values, and care. We came with a modernist solution for the icon and logotype that evokes a playful concept followed by a bright color palette.
At the beginning, we use a lot our sketch books to draw ideas until we have something solid we jump to Illustrator where we create the first assets of the identity such the icon and logotype then we use our PANTONE guide, made color tests, and then we start designing all the brand material.
We involved the client in the whole process and in the end, he was totally happy with the result and excited to get started with the clinic. Their customers love the identity and start to adopt it.
